"My son uses more sign language than spoken words since age one. He has always been able to tell me when he is making a soiled diaper, but recently, two weeks before his second birthday, he indicated that he needed to use the toilet, and when I placed him on the toilet, he peed. Since then, he has indicated to me on a regular basis when his diaper is wet. I think it is pretty amazing that he's aware of when he's urinating and that it is happening at the age of two, when I've heard from many people how boys begin their toilet training much later.
